Whispered Intentions

Our doubts are our traitors
-Shakespeare

In a matter of moments dusk will settle in.
And I know….I know I have about four examination papers to type up with only two days left in tow. I should be in the thick of that action. Instead, I generously flittered my afternoon in Elizabeth Kostova’s -The Historian, page 87. ..

And I have mislaid myself to the tranquility of the bygone hours, allowing myself to drink in the view of the sky’s cerulean clouds softly settling into the twinkle of twilight, with the mountains before me amorously giving in to the seduction of nature’s playing shadows. I am quite certain this evening will be another charming late October rendezvous, as it was last night, and the night before that. No more rains….only the cool crisp nip of a bidding Asian Christmas season.

Which inspires me to say…

When we whisper our expectations to the wind…

When we whisper our heart’s desires to the universe…it answers…

What we expect…..and what we desire manifests itself into our lives…This has always magically happened to me…It is as if some entity exists to grant my wish…And I regret the moments when I doubted…doubted me…..doubted my goodness…doubted that I deserved to be happy….doubted that I would receive what I so need……what I so desire…never again will doubt walk on my foot path.

So with a full week ahead of me…I whisper my intentions for the coming days…

I intend to finish every single paper work that needs to be accomplished…

I intend to be calm and orderly peaceful throughout each day…welcoming each person genuinely with love and kindness and concern…

I intend to be beautiful…inside…..outside…When people see me…..they will feel light…..my words will be encouragement…..and my touch…a warm healing force…

I intend to be unhurried…unfettered…uncluttered….everything needed will effortlessly fall into my hands…Graciousness will be my partner…

I intend for my family to see me in a new light…...to feel my love and my strength….they will be drawn to my comfort…..and seek my company …they will feel happy…

I intend to live……authentically…inspiration will find me…

And I intend for you who are reading this…. to be unusually charmed this week…to be filled with people who love you……to be spoken to in kindness…...to feel a child’s embrace…or a friend’s warm hand…..to feel a calm from within…..to have such strength that the most mundane task will be a pleasure walk…..and to laugh with heartiness…. because your life is blessed….

receive that…

Blessed we will all be…

Thanks for the blessing. I don't expect anyone to show up to charm my life, but you never know.

Hope things are all right with you.

EOTR:..I try to be confident..It's not easy..I just try to take one moment at a time...I keep on reminding myself that it's a choice..it's a choice..

What is your opinion of The Historian? I am interested but it is such a big book. Is it worth it so far?

This is to the point, Lux.

And your words at my place, well, what can I say but "thank you!" ?

"When we whisper our heart’s desires to the universe…it answers…"

I agree, it asnwers. But...often we aren't listening, or we don't want to hear the answer given, or we hear but can't believe. Life is a complicated process and often I think I've forgotten my instructions.

Thank you for that beautiful post.

Hi Lux, wish you get all your heart desires!

I do so hope you achieve that peaceful equilibrium of mind and soul you desire, lux. It's so easy to get caught up in the cluttered, fettered, hurried aspects of our lifes. And it is easier still to let that unbalance our 'cool'...

oh, btw.,....amen.....to what you wrote..

Shannon: Hello there..Welcome to me' bloggy home. About the book, if you're into the spooks then you'd like it...Somehow it has an exciting macabre and melancholy feel all rolled into one..But the writing style is good..well paced..not boring...makes you want to read on and on...I didn;t even realize it was about Vlad the Impaler when I took it off the
shelf..This is one book I'm reading through then passing on to my teenage boys..hmmmm..I think it was worth the money and the bit of entertainment...Still prefer my Rosamunde Pilcher collection though...

Ben: hello there...well what can I say but..welcome??..ha!ha!..Kidding aside, I enjoyed your very honest post and of course...the paintings!

Pauline: True!..True! So true...I'm trying to be wiser..it's not easy...I forget my instructions as well..Oh' what a struggle to just go through a day..I am trying though to savor each breath at a time...

Tab: you are so welcome Tab!..:))

Hliza: and yours as well!..wonder if you still got left over cookies...hmmm.

Schaumel: "...Unbalance our cool..."

exactly..it's happened already in itzy'bitzy' ways...but I'm trying to be kind to myself and to others...trying to be accepting of me..and others...just one breath a time..one breath at a time...:))
