Can't Think of Title..Can You?

"It boggles the mind...doesn't it?"
- Robert Fulghum

( I'm running out of quotes..sorry...)
----------------------------------------------------

I've been sent word that she's on her way back.

Could get tangled in a traffic jam though so didn't want to give an exact hour of her arrival. The good thing is... yesterday I learned that a part of my hubzzy's "himself "went a' missing as well...!..

This he confided to me on our way back from taking out Chinese food.
It was just a comfort to know that both myself and himself were actually..."not there"...in that car.... where we were both strapped buckled up.
Such bonding memories I can look back to when I get to be..oh'.. crinkly, cranky, old and grey.....which could be in about...two more weeks if I don't get to find suitable house help...

I desperately need someone to assist with the housework. Dust collects faster than you can say "aye'.."..and dead leaves from the humongous mango tree continuously litter the backyard...Now...I love trees and falling leaves..but continuously raking is a drag! We all put effort together but right now each of us has so much work that leaves are waaay below the "we need to do list..."

And dishes..I get tired of washing dishes..specially at night...

( dish washers aren't the thing here...we have microwaves, ovens, turbo broilers..but somehow..dishwashers haven't caught on...electricity I guess..and the kind of food staple we have..rice..with soup and viand...Steamers though are available..Aw' why the heck am I talking about dishes....?)...

I ate hotcake this morning and gave a plateful of some to my doggie. He liked it!
I really think dogs can smile.
When he smiles ( Bushy my dog) I see his teeth.
Now, if seeing doggie teeth when not barking isn't smiling then what is?..specially after being fed hotcakes.

This isn't going anywhere I know..just blabbering...but the thing is...I have a wee' smile back...just a small eenie' weenie' hee!..hee! wicked grin.....

Tomorrow I plan to have that coffee shop date with myself. The one I wanted to have last week but didn't. I want to write..and write...and write....and write about dreams....I'll never get too old for dreaming.Yes, I want to write dreams and eat a hefty serving of Belgian waffle then wash it all down with "latte of the day!"

Sheila ( not her real name), a former student of mine wrote to me asking for advice...
"How can I be like you?"...she asks!!!!...

This sweet thing was the same gal' who a year ago came to me and said..

"You know Teacher Luxie...I'm not like the other girls...I'm weird.."

And so Teacher Me goes, "Oh' no..darling...don't ever call yourself weird...say..eccentric..."

....must have made a bit of an impact for such a sweet compliment...

I like that girl.. A musical genius...reads in the midst of classroom chaos..and won't ever pin up her hair..no matter what!..To read her want to be like me brought on a grin....

Sometimes I look for major things to make me smile...
I expect something big ( think falling gold bullions) to stir my way to make me happy..I forget mostly that days are peppered with the smallest, the minutest spices of smiles..and dreams..if I only look close enough....

really cloooose enough to see...

exskindiver- You're right. It brings back memories for me as well. I'll never tire of hearing her songs. See you in your bloggy' place in a while.

Amber: It is a lovely place. A French fine dine somewhere here in Manila. I took it a couple of months ago..tweaked it a bit to make it look ..nostalgic....The blurry picture below is the same building taken from a different angle...

really neat about the student! you should feel great that you have touched her so!

on the other hand... no dish washer... I'd have to leave! lol I grew up in a house without one and it SUCKED! I guess having house help would be a good second (ohhhh can you get a really cute house boy? hehehe that might be fun! *wink) jk

Glad that you and hubby are on the same page (without yourselves) lol!

Have a great day!
