The Games Kate Play

KATE

I THINK YOU ARE A BRAVE… BEAUTIFUL….AMAZING WOMAN!

I like that you face your own confusion which such bravado and style…
I like that you can find humor in the direst situations…
I like that you show warmth and devotion to your children….( I have not even made good on
my promise to play counter strike with the kids…yeah!....I promised them…)

I like that you drink beer…(and blog it..) so do I…in fact I think I’ll have one ( or two..) after dinner…( I blogged woozy’ in my other blogs when they still existed..)…..

I like you because you are you...

My song for you…

The song that reminds me of you is a jazz classic sang by a Sergio Mendes singer. I don’t know if it’s called Diana or Bridges..but it goes this way….

( I’m singing this believe it or not!!!)

Na…na…na…na…na…na…na…na…na…na…na…na…na..na..na…na…

I have crossed a thousand
briiidges
In my search for something real…
I have seen suspension bridges
Made ov’ spider webzzz ov’ steel..

There are tiny wooden tresses
And there are bridges made of stone
I have always been a stranger
And I’ve always been alone….

Na..na..na…na..na…na…na…na…na..na..na…na…na..na..na..na..

There’s a bvridge to
tomoroooow...
There’s a bridge from the past…
There’s a bridge made of sorrow
Where the brave will not last

The..eeeere’s a bridge
Made of colors
In the sky high
aboooove
And I think
That there must be bridges made out of love….

Hmmm..mmm….mmm…mmm

( I sincerely apologize for such a crude puzzle of lyrics…I have yet to find one on the net….but…the thing is…I chose this song…cause’ I can see you there a’ traveling…searching for something…..crossing lands and bridges both literally and figutatively….and each time you are about to cross one…you hesitate..then smile…then cross on…And I see you……building a bridge…where there is none…!)

My quote for you:

We build the courage to get through the substantial trials by learning to cohabit serenely with the trivia.”
- Victoria Morran –

I want to know….

Where is the nicest, coziest café’ you have been to…??????

And…my hobbies are…….

I paint…watercolor….
I do a lot of cooking……I like that…
I read. A lot..I can often be found at Powerbooks or at Books for Less…( which is a specialty shop that sells interesting books from America and Europe) .seated in a quiet corner with a book and a cup of coffee….I do this alone…
I also love to swim …I do consider this a hobby…
Daydreaming...yep...that's a hobby of mine as well..

Well…I’ll end this with another quote I love…

“LIVE YOUR LIFE IN CHAPTERS…..

A CHARMED LIFE IS LIVED IN CHAPTERS, THE WAY YOU WOULD READ A LONG NOVEL…GIVE YOURSELF WITHOUT RESERVATION TO THE CHAPTER YOU’RE ON….”

- V. Moran-

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you return often. I see my blogging friend Schaumi makes comments on your blog. She is a hoot. Got to run but will check your blog often.

I couldn't get through with the link, but I've visited Kate's blog recently. I tried to enter comments on her page, but am apparently having some kind of technical difficulty.

Kate, I guessed Elvis Costello. If I'm right, do I get a prize?

Ok... It is 1:30 here and I have a moment to myself to write.

You are right on the money about much of it. I am searching right now... for answers... for a path... for myself.

I dont drink much beer though... I am a big vodka martini drinker(slightly dirty and straight up... I am not particular about the vodka as long as it is triple distilled so I dont get a hang over! hehehe ok TMI... only in England did the beer think appeal to me! lol

I have never been a risk taker and I am taking a huge risk right now by stiring up my life. I am more frightened of not finding myself and not making my life all it could be. I crave those bridges you describe but am feeling a bit chained at the moment. I am trying to figure out how to make everyone happy including myself!

I LOVE the bottom quote about chapters... very well put! I need to do more of that (Like can this freaking chapter be done already?????)

So what do you paint? Still life? Landscape? I paint with oils. Mostly still life although when I was in England I did take my paints and had at some landscapes.

Where are you from BTW and can I come when you meet Mayden?

Vodkha...hmmm...you're description of the drink made it sound so alluring...specially the dirty part...I'm definitely going for that next Friday out with my girlfriends here.

My paintings...ah yes...hee!hee!...they are gibberish watercolor renditions of trees and mountains and such...I can't claim to be very good at it though...or even good...I just do it once in a while for "release"....

KAte, I guess we all go through our own mountains and hills and little forest pathways of life...and I cannot claim to fully live the moment you are in...but I do, because of what I am going through right now...emphatize with what you mean...when you post your thoughts....I too...am seeking out so may things about me...so many....

How I wish that I could see all of you who are in such a wonderful way, part of my life right now.....but....I live a great way off from where all of you are...I live in Manila...

I believe in serendipity though...finding good things in the most unexpected places...I know...and even if...I may never see you personally...physically...please know that you have touched my life in a profound way...and I will never forget this moment of knowing you....
