Le' Ghost in Meeh...snooks...(for editing..)

Am' terribly terribly....ghastly exhausted, so although I wasn't planning to write today this seems to be my best venue for relaxation and release....And yeah'..it seems like I'm having a festival of me..me..me...MEEEh!...snooks...am' really tiiired...siiigh...siiigh...sigh!...tired me!...

I read an interesting post by me' good pal Foam...The story about how her son seems to have been witness to strange manifestations in the house they used to live in....aliens and ghosts...Made me wonder if it could be something that kids go through..this alien and ghosts sightings...Both my kids at one point or another gave me similar stories of seeing something in the sky.....,,,or of being aware of a certain presence....Hmmm..I remember when they were babies..they'd seem to focus on a certain part of the house and giggle and coo' as if conversing with some unseen angel....

When we were still living in the other house, my dog, Bushy, would gnarl and bark and whimper at something he alone could see...then he'd suddenly dash and cower under the study table....My youngest son said he saw someone walk behind me then fade out...

I have my own.um'..sightings....encounters....if I could call it that....Distinctly I can stoll remember being about seven years old...I woke up sometime in the night, sat straight on my bed looking at some Pocahontas looking girl sitting at the corner of my bed..She even had a feather on the band across her head...She looked at me.then faded right before my eyes....Childish imaginations...I remember so clearly...

When I was about nine...my yaya ( nanny) died. She had lived with my family since she was 14 and was like an older sister to me. Every morning she'd knock on my bedroom door at around 5:30 to wake me up for school. A week after she died..I'd still hear her knocks...I still would answer the usual, "ok...I'm awake!!"

About fourteen, I woke up and saw somebody...a pretty lady with flowing curly locks...She looked like someone from a different century..wearing a shimmering cream gown, much like those worn by Greek goddesses...I remember how pretty the dress was held together by a braided shimmering cord...This lady was giving something to me..her hands outstretched, she was giving me something...She faded right before my sight...

Hmmmm.....this one was when I was seventeen...Have I mentioned that I used to live in an old ancestral Spanish house?...Welp'..I had just gotten off the bath..and was brushing my wet hair in front of this huge antique ornate mirror that clearly shows the long hallway behind me with closed room doors....I was singing...yes...singing some sort of Madonna tune ( Vogue - I think....or Like a Virgin probably...)..when all of a sudden I saw the doorknob of my bedroom yanking vilently....uhuh'...yanking as if somebody wanted it open..only there wasn't anybody at home at that time except me and my grandma' who was downstairs....You should have heard my screeeeam....My granny' wasn't amused...at all!!!...She told me to offer a Novena to the Sacred Heart...

The last strange occurence of my childhood happened in my high school...It was 6 pm...My bestfriend M and I were brushing our hair ( yes..I love to brush my hair..) in the lavatory. We stayed late in school coz' of a project so basically there wasn't anybody around anymore...The nuns prodded us to hurry up and pack for home and so just before heading out campus we made a stop at the loo..where we were brushing our hair...

Out of one of the cubicles came a cry...an unmistakable soft cry of a woman...we both eyed each other in the mirror..our skin feeling the creep of goosebumps...Being the silly me..I yelled..."yuuuhuuu!!"..then started opening one cubicle after another...the crying ceased...no lady whatsoever....So we continued powdering ourselves..then there it was again..this time louder...clearer..a desperate weeping sound coming from the rightmost cubicle I opened a while ago...

We didn't panic...instead..silently, we placed our stuff inside our bags and calmly walked out of campus...not saying a word....

To this day, we talk about that...did we really hear what we heard or were we just having a common hallucination ?...What could it be???

hmmmm...Interesting..interesting...no other freaky experiences followed this....well...um'..of course.....except for that time when my co - teacher was hearing me give a lecture in the classroom across hers...when all that time.....I was actually having coffee at a cafe across the street...

uh' owww'...I think I just scared myself...snooks...am' alone here...

grrr I jsut wrote a long comment and it was deleted!!!!!!!!! I hate that!

I think that since energy is constant its reasonable to think that someone could see that energy in some form after a person dies.

That being said, I also think that most of the things people think they see are something more along the line of a dream state. Just my opinion!

cheers!

I have some ghost stories, but you know, I don't often tell people about them. They would think I was weird.

Thanks for sharing.

(1) Thanks for the Dixieland. Dixieland and hard bop are my favorite types of jazz.

(2) Did your sons discuss what they saw with you in detail?

(3) I remember your earlier post about how your colleagues saw you teaching a class when you were not in the school building. I'm compelled to ask the following questions. You, however, aren't comepelled to answer them.

What's your religion?

Have any of your immediate family members served in the armed forces or police? If so, for how long?

Are you drawn to science fiction stories (reading, movies, or television)?

Do you avoid certain places for reasons you cannot explain?

How is your bed positioned in the room currently? How was it positioned when you saw the apparition?

Do you have allergies? If so, to what?

How's the electricity to your house? Are you located near a transformer?

Do you wear a watch?

What's the weather usually like in your area?

As a child, did you have imaginary friends?

Has someone ever mistaken you for someone else? Has someone you know mistaken someone else for you?

Like I said, don't feel compelled to answer these questions. It's just that as an observer of such things, I'm curious, so I have to ask.

I wonder if ghosts can travel over the internet like viruses. Gee, I hope not. :)
