Finally...I did...

Living never wore one out so much as the effort not to live - Anais Nin

Taking brave steps to explore my creativity.....this is what I came up with.

It took me such a long long loooong time to pick up a brush and start doodling again. I always had excuses not to.....Either I had much more important things to do, or I had important places to go, or I'm not good enough it's just a waste of time.

I lot of my youth was shaped by my idea that "I wasn't good enough"....for this or that.

But today I am telling myself...perhaps it isn't good enough for a museum..or even for a simple gallery.....but I did this with attention and with love...

I just did it. I just finally did it.

A peaceful weekend to all...

You do have the talent girl! I'm a lot like that too..I wasted the younger years telling myself I can't do this and that..only to wake up now and see the age is climbing fast and I still have a lot to try out!

(1) That landscape's one of yours? That's impressive. Between you, Jean, and Foam (the master), I know some pretty talented folks.

(2) As to your previous post, unsolicited advice usually does more harm than good, so you were right not to follow through on this relative's insistence. I think this relative simply wanted to ambush the other relative and force the other relative to adopt this relative's point of view.

(I would use names to make that less confusing, but you didn't supply any.)

David: Happy to see you once again..and thank you really :>

Jac: Oh' thanks...am' encouraged.

X:DELL: I bow to Foam..the master!..Actually, it was her plans to put up a studio and what she'd doing now that prodded me on.

Thanks..

I just started my own blog page and am about to do another on wine and perhaps a third on art and even another on poetry. We'll see. I just stumbled upon your blog to see what others were doing with their spaces and I'm glad I found yours. It's the poetry/imagery elicited by your words that stopped me and made me pause and look a bit deeper/longer. Your painting is so spontaneous and alive.
What I noticed first about your painting was all the red at the bottom : like red cherries ready to be popped into one's mouth. Then I thought that the painting was like one's tongue and that I could taste all your shapes and colors and textures - colors and paint, just like wine and all it's flavors/textures. Then I thought your painting was like the surface of one's skin, also with lots of things to touch and tickle and charm/ warm our skin and our spirits just below along with our soul. Cheers. TONY
