It happened to me about twice this January....

First when I was aimlessly browsing through the stalls of Tiendesitas...just enjoying the sights of chic fashion....and then....yesterday, while I was simply washing the pretty cups and saucers in my sink......What I find interesting is that...it was so unexpected...out of nowhere.....this piercing feeling of PeAcE....

How can I describe it?.....

It isn't a settling descending peace..like the one you feel when you are seated comf'tbly in front of quiet waves....or luch greenery...no.....It wasn't a cheery peace....one that comes in because you have done something remarkable..or accomplished a difficult task..or because you were kind to someone....no....

It was just.."It"...A swift injection of peace...Like when you accidentaly touch live wire....a travelling current that coursed through my body....And No...I am not on drugs...nor have I taken in any sort of medication...not even a vitamin pill....

What could it be?...It was so...beautiful....a spark that included the ingredients of joy and assurance....And it visited when I was doing nothing but the mundane....Could it because I seek it?....A Spirit of Peace..and it has come to me...made itself felt.....spoke...touched me....oh'..yes...that was how it was...like someone touched me....wrapped itself around me...laid an assuring hand on my shoulder.....If but for a moment I felt it...and when it released its touch...a chirp of hApPy filled my heart....

I found it again...what I was looking for.....searching..here...searching there...thinking that I've lost it....only to realize that it was within me all this time...like a precious locket thought misplaced only to be felt dangling around one's neck.....

When you lose something and find it again..it seems even more precious than when you first possessed it....That's how I feel....even more precious because what I have found is devoid of trappings...and decorations and regulations....just pure...unadulterated..."it"...

And I am excited with my new walk...the secret path I have found...where the sun is shinning...but doesn't burn...where the rains come...but doesn't drown...

....it's within me...it's within you....

{ps: My sincerest thank you" to those who have visited my previous post...Your inspiring words have touched my heart and I am so deeply....just grateful...Mayden and Schaumi...you both know that you are more than bloggy' personalities for me...you have both become precious friends - as so with the others- but both of you have been with me for a long time..I treasure your friendship...

And Aunty Bell...always so comforting to me...She feels like a such a real close Aunt..how I wish I could truly sit in her front or back porch...I find so much solace in her words...

and K9..the poochie friend...ever so kind with words...thank you so so much...I wish you the best of everything in your creative endeavors....

and Susannah..you know you are an inspiration to me...your words and pictures give me the courage to discover so many things about who I am as well....

And just a pure thank you to everyone..to the few intimate souls - who have become not so few - I have so whispered for you in my profile...to all of you ...thank you...you are all precious....)

As with many of your posts, I must read, digest and then read again... and again sometimes before I can respond. Although your blog is not unique in inspiring me so, it is among but a few. Your words reach me deeply - often they make me stop... and think... about life, about love, about the universe... about God.

I often think of you as a sister...one out in the world I haven't met yet~
Thank you dear Lux- for being such a treasure to me...for your words on this blog that always reveal the heart of who you are~

CS Lewis called what you described moments of intense "joy"... they were almost supernatural. Yes- very peaceful- but with elements of happiness that were hard to explain. I'll find the quote from one of his books and send it to you-
I remember a few years ago- I was folding clothes in the bedroom- and suddenly I almost felt like I was filled up with butterflies~
and sunshine- but the peace that washed over me was like still water on a deep lake.
Serenity- but more than that...
You know...you know :)

Scaumi:..I wonder if you had an "it" dream??...hmm

Mike: Oh thank you and I'm glad me' humble bloggy' inspires you to muse a bit about life, love, and God....things that matter the most, I believe, in our daily existence...

Mayden: Ah' I wish I could say I always cme across this feeling...It came probably because I was silent..not silent in a way that means not talking....but silent in mind...I hope that I can carry this peace throughout the year...I hope hope hope...and please do tell me about that CS Lewis quote..hmmm..perhaps I should visit zee' bookstore and get me'self a papaerback copy of his bography....

Hi Luxie and thank you for visiting my blog today. I've been going through your three blogs and love all the photos. They are so full of life, I'm sure a reflection of the young woman behind the camera.

I am a believer...blood forgiven...righteousness in all of my bones...been stydying and eating up tapes and messages on being joint-heirs with Christ...does that line up with things you said in your last post?
I'm so curious about your new found love of life and your self esteem!!!!!!!

Happy birthday! Not to brag, but I did see the same candles at Walmart. Their delicious aroma took me back ......... to a mystical place in time ......... where .......... there were no Walmarts.
