My Shortie Wants List
Discovered a neat trick I can pull on me. Yay!
Been trying to figure how to cure my "procrastination issues" you see. Yeah' I have those to the max.
I figured this would also do good for insane moments when I'm faced with routine tasks I shirk from doing. You know, the usual daily stuff that would creep up on you if you don't move....the littering leaves that need to be swept, the cluttered closet that needs to be organized...the usual errand that needs to be done...things like that. Listing them down the day before doesn't work for me. I don't even read the list mostly.
But this time I think I've got it.
Instead of saying, "Things I HAVE To Do Today".....
I'm going to write, Things I WANT To DO Today"
1. I want a snazzy' bedroom ( change covers and fluff pillows)
2. I want a mango shake for everyone at dinner ( drop by grocers and buy fruit)
3. I want to fit into my white jeans ( skip the ice cream that's sitting there in the fridge)
4. I want a collection of odd leaves (sweep up front yard..say hello to the birds)
There! A sample of a simple "I WANT list that rings with subtle pleasure. Absolutely nothing I wouldn't want to do for a day would be included. Nothing of what I have to do, but instead, only intimate choices of what I want to have...and want to do.
I feel powerful now just thinking about it.
Hmmmm'..I think this could work...
(ps: Thank you so much to those who posted comments in my posts down. I learned so much from your sharings and insights. I will be visiting you in a shortie'..:> )

My YOU Inspiration
Self expression...this is what my blog is all about. And I believe that though my posts may sometimes ring silly, writing here has made me a calm happier person.
Reflecting on this, I am so just sorry for Shakespeare and Hemingway and Monet and Poe and all those great great writers and artists and scientists and just about everyone else, big or small, who did not live to see this age of internet magic. Imagine their astounded expression if they could, by some divine beam of back to the future glitch in time, be here right now witnessing this technology. The power that we possess through this medium is just unbelievable. It is the true summation awesome of all AWESOME'S combined!
As for me, I discovered blogging magic one Sunday 2004 February morning through CNN. Sitting there in front of my Sony TV hearing what those fun savvy blogging women were up to, and how they could relate and excitingly connect with other women the world over was just tooooo much of a writing lust temptation to ignore. I simply could not.....could not resist.
36. I was 36 when I started writing online. My teaching days in school, where I went, what I ate, what I wore and who said who was mostly what I wrote about. Boring really. Gosh' face it, who on earth would want to read about a Filipina teacher's field trip at Enchanted Kingdom!? But I wasn't really expecting anyone to read. No cares really. Back then everything this is was just for the sheer narcissistic amusement of seeing my words on a monitor screen.
Then came my dark days. That sullen point when I had a few "issues" about me and about life in general. The more issues, the more cryptic writings appeared. I was a jarful of discombobulation. Words in jumbled thoughts poured...and swooshed and sloshed and poured to my detriment, sometimes, without even giving second thought.
When I started getting feedback from other bloggers the awesome infusion of cyberpace blood coursed through me. I felt like I wasn't just writing anymore. I was connecting. I was blogging. For real.
Those were my ABC baby footstep toddler tottering days of blogging . Not once did I ever read about blogging do's and don't s...I learned it first hand...mistakes and all....I am still learning.
This blog is about me still. About Me. It holds my inner thoughts, my humble meanderings...my simple reflections about life. However, it has also evolved into something much more important. This blog has become a portal of YOU. This is now about YOU.
It is about all the YOU's that I read and I visit and I connect to each moment I am here. It is about your life, and your day, and your story, and your happy, and your sadness, and your crazy, your inspiration, and your puzzles, and your food and your homes...just everything about you. Honestly, it is the inspiration I draw in from your story that makes blogging worthwhile.
When bloggers write from the heart, sharing words they wouldn't normally tell others in a real time conversation, I feel that. It makes the time I spend in cyberspace such an intimate uplifting experience. When people share their pictures..their art....their talent...the whole world seeps inside of me and takes a peaceful prism glow. Even if for a moment I feel you and I have ceased to become different. We are one.
I guess what I want to say is I am deeply grateful to be living today.
I am grateful to be so alive in this era. What a gift!
I am so just happy grateful for the wonderful opportunity to read all the blogs I read...
and I am so just grateful for the inspiration of YOU.

My 20 Valentines
It's Valentine's Day tomorrow and so forgive me for being uber "cooorny" right now. Just that...stumbled on a local Nescafe advertisement that really brings back a particular loverly youthful carefree memory...
I was 20 and so was he...
Course' I didn't look anything like this girl back then.I was really skinny to start with. I was in torn faded jeans and had on a shirt that boldly screamed "Nike". Doubt if I looked anything sexy' but we had bikes..ye'....
I remember biking in the rain...near the bay. I bet I looked freaky ha! ha!. When he reminds me I cringe...embarrassed you could say. Oh' but then how many sweethearts get to really silly run through a downpour huh?. Those were our "who gives a damn days".I think somehow..it still is.
How many valentines have we had since then eh?...So..
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to everyone. This day isn't just for lovers splish splashing. It's an intimate wonderful celebration of being One..being brothers and sisters....being human...and being divine as well. And this Love transcends all borders and boundaries..cultural..religious..language...whatever...
Everybody wants love..Everybody is LOVE...
And to the boy back then who went crazy running in the rain with me, I Love You....and I'd really rather that we have a barbeque dinner at home instead of going out...but bring home a big round of pizza...thin slice..with shrimps on top....and a bottle of wine of course..
You know what I mean ;>
Spread the love everyone..mwah!

Happy tweet'
A sweet happy that comes from a feeling of liking my life....liking me at this moment......
Ah'... let me be more succinct in describing this happy feel...ummmmm' ....
It's that kind of happy that feels cherry pink......like a color snatched from a spectrum in the sky, injected in my bloodstream, and supplying my lungs with baby blue champagne smelling oxygen....
A happy like this is a rare feel....comes from knowing that people think your worth something...and I feel genuinely grateful....gosh'...life is such a gentle lady to me....
You see, old friends unexpectedly came by to visit me here in my home....That in itself is something to be cheerful about...The thought that I' m worth the commute in a blisteringly hot summer April...worth talking to..worth laughing with..and that my company is missed is so sweet.....
And these people...they're not selling me anything...They don't have business propositions....nothing.....just came here to genuinely see me...(wow!!!.)...and to talk about the times when we were all working together...and to reminisce that I was great teacher, and that I was a responsible head teacher during our times together, and that no foolishness escaped me....to be reminded that I was and still am and always will be a teacher is just....oh' gosh'...I am just so...just happy.....
I am a teacher....
But what makes me really grateful is that these women genuinely listen to what I have to say....and that....that...means a lot to me...
I am a teacher....
This morning while cleaning my room... I asked God to send me an angel...just jokingly...Well.....believe it or not...I got three today.....
and I'm just feeling ......heaving with gratefulness right now...
Luxie is happy'....
and
she's passing this cherry colored champagne bubbly happy...
to you...

Anniversawy' Glee (edited version)
Wow..I love this picture of the both of us....I must have it printed, enlarged and framed. I won't be writing a new post just yet...I just want to see this...I love it when we spend a night out together...I love it when we're at home and we suddenly decide to head out for Starbuck's with the kids...These are my memories....
And' ye' I guess my blog is beginning to look like a Luxie shrine...adore..adore..adore me oh' me..nye he!he!he!....Don't mean to glory in me pics...( but then again the wise Foam said.."if we don't build a shrine to ourself..who elsewill?"...yeehah to that lol!!..)....just that..my life right now is very monumental...and I want to remember this in the years to come...I need to save this blog one way or another...No....I don't spill every stored concoction of emotion..but when I see pics such az' thiz'..I get transported back and remember just exactly what went on that day...along with it is the mem'ry of what we had to deal with...
And this was taken last Saturday night...We celebrated his birthday as well as our 18th year anniversary. Just saying that word "anniversary" conjures a well of emotions inside of me..words aren't even enough....All I can say is what I've learned...marriage is tough....it doesn't guarantee happiness..it doesn't guarantee this sense of joy or peace or stability... these experiences are both our individual decisions to make...every single day...
One of the memorable moments of the night was when we were in the car on our way to dinner...He said that I didn't lose myself or my identity through the years he's known me...."I think you have become you because you didn't try to change me"...A sensitive lovely thought....
I can say we've come a long way.....and I am thankful that someone is with me all these long way to go...Yes, it amazes me that someone is with me....
And we are both relieved that in our age our kids don't need nappy changes when some of our friends have kids barely in nursery...Our bulging challenges are different though...because we feel now more than ever in their life our boys need us....They need our presence our assurance and our guidance....They need to see us strong, decisive and principled...
This scares me more than anything else...My boys are no longer at that age wherein they will just take anything I say as the best of mommy....no...These teenage years are far more difficult....and sometimes it leaves us just overwhelmed...
But we are determined to see this through..We are determined to make each day better...It's not easy..yes..yes...but we have made it through eighteen years of laughter and tears and confusion and fears and victory...so what's a lifetime more of the same eh?...
Ye'...come to think of it...
If I were to live through everything again...I'd still want to be with the same hubby..the same sonnies...and the same mad barking Bushy'.....yep!!
